Cinema 4d 11.5

Tue Nov 10, 2009, 7:02 PM
For those that have not had the chance to play with v11.5 of C4D, you are missing out.
The long list of improvements are impressive to say the least.
Version 11 gave us the new rendering bucket method that speed up rendering. Version 11.5 is using a new bucket rendering approach that is even better and faster.
The new Mograph is flat out incredible.
There is just too much to list that stands out. At first glance of the program, nothing really stands out, but once you start to use it you will immediately start to find the improvements.
It just keeps getting better and better.
Hats off to Maxon for improving upon a already killer application.

Im curious how C4d runs for everyone else.
what kind of system do you run? im using an Imac 4gb processor ddr3 core 2 duo and my ntsc animations are taking hours for anything with complex materials and multiple objests.
:iconmindclot:
For me, C4D v11.5 on a (now considered old) Q6600 Quad core processor, 6gb ram, raid array hard drives, system tweaked out and it runs silky smooth.
I am not a mac guy but what is your scene file that is taking so long to render??
I have had projects that were simple but because of the environment that it was set up for it took several days to render.
:iconburkaset:
The movie I am rendering is a electro music video for my final. Ive broken the movie down into segments to save render times, I am going to piece them all together in final cut pro at the end.
I think im going to have a few days worth of render time regardless of what i do.
:iconmindclot:
If the rendering is for a full length music video then you will definitely have a few days (to say the least) of rendering time.
You have to have the movie broken down into very small clips unless the movie is one single camera shot/angle. Every different camera shot or scene change would be a different section to render. Besides, unless you have a rendering farm, it would take your computer forever to render a single camera shot.
I look forward to seeing your progress and final work!
